Latest study from Synergy Research Group reveals that Q3 enterprise spending on cloud infrastructure services passed the $45 billion mark, up 37% from the third quarter of 2020. Amazon, Microsoft and Google continue to attract well over half of worldwide cloud spending, with Q3 shares of 33%, 20% and 10% respectively.
The worldwide infrastructure as a service (IaaS) market grew 29.5 percent in 2017 to total $23.5 billion, up from $18.2 billion in 2016, according to Gartner, Inc. Amazon was the No. 1 vendor in the IaaS market in 2017, followed by Microsoft, Alibaba, Google and IBM.
