GoTo Group, the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia, and Alibaba Cloud have announced the successful migration of GoTo Financial’s infrastructure to Alibaba Cloud’s data centers in Jakarta, Indonesia. GoTo Financial is the group’s digital finance arm and the company behind Indonesia’s popular payment solution, GoPay.
This milestone marks a key achievement in the strategic partnership formed in September 2024 and represents a critical component of one of Indonesia’s most complex and large-scale cloud migration projects. It also supports Indonesia’s data sovereignty goals, with all data held within the country’s borders.
The move to Alibaba Cloud’s secure, high-performance infrastructure is expected to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve service efficiency for millions of GoPay users. GoTo Financial currently supports seamless digital payments for over 20 million monthly transacting users.
