The UAE and the US have unveiled the first phase of a new, massive 5GW AI campus in Abu Dhabi. The 10-square-mile AI campus, the largest of its kind outside the United States, is a result of a growing technology partnership between the two countries.
The launch took place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and US President Donald Trump.
The campus, which will be built by G42 and operated in partnership with several US companies will include 5GW of capacity for AI data centers in Abu Dhabi. Once completed the UAE-US AI campus will leverage nuclear, solar, and gas power to minimize carbon emissions and will also house a science park driving advancements in AI innovation.
Access to the compute resources are reserved for US hyperscalers and approved cloud service providers.
